Climb like a Girl - Moab
Carolyn Parker co-owner of
Suntoucher mountain guides in town to teach this course.
These clinics are designed for women who are interested in improving there climbing ability including: technique, belaying, rappelling, building anchors, leading, placing protection and being self sufficient in the outdoor environment. The hope is that participants will meet and develop future climbing partnerships as these as not only some of the closest bonds you may ever make in life but also critical to the pursuit of this sport.

All clinics will be a full day of approximately 8 – 9 hours including drive time.
There will be a minimum of three participants and a maximum of six.
All climbing equipment will be included unless participant has their own harness, shoes, chalk bag and belay device which they are welcome to use.
For those that arrive in time (this is an optional event) we'll meet for dinner, drink, conversation at a local spot Friday evening at 7:30pm. This is a great chance to meet the other participants and unwind after your journey to Moab.
Clinic begins at 8 AM Saturday at Red River's office in Moab. We'll travel as a group to a beautiful shady crag called the Ice Cream Parlor
which provides many options for all ability levels. At the end of a full day participants will be given an option for personal time or to meet the group for dinner.
The following morning we'll start out at the same time for more fun pitches of climbing to see if we can't bring it all together. At the end of day 2 participants can choose to hit the road and head home or stay and enjoy dinner out with the group. If a long weekend sounds good than why not do some biking, hiking or rafting in as well. Moab is a gorgeous spot of all of these activities.
